Dr. Vince Afsahi has been interested in dermatology treatment and research since he completed medical school at the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors. He completed his residency in Dermatology at USC and is trained in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He is also a clinical instructor of dermatology at USC, teaching residents and physicians about the latest in the dermatological field.
In addition, as president of South Coast Dermatology Institute, Dr. Afsahi currently oversees both practices in Newport Beach and Tustin, CA. He is passionate about this role, explaining: "Skin is the largest organ in the human body. Yet that simple fact is too often overlooked by many people. I tell all of my patients that a truly healthy body depends on educating yourself about your skin and then following up with good, thorough skincare. Such was my objective when I founded the South Coast Dermatology Institute."
Dr. Afsahi is best known for his work in cosmetic surgery and enhancements. He has been featured on KABC News, Extra, The O.C. Register, AM710 talk radio, Women's World Magazine, Star Magazine, OC Families Magazine and Body Beautiful Magazine. He continues to be actively involved in clinical studies regarding the latest and greatest cosmetic treatments and is especially interested in laser treatments. He has traveled all over - including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Manilla and Thailand - to educate people on the latest in dermatology.
In his private practice, Dr. Afsahi uses laser-based treatments, fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm and a wide variety of chemical peels. He treats patients from all spectrums of life, including celebrities, politicians, football stars and soccer moms. In addition to cosmetic dermatology, skin cancer screening makes up a large part of his practice.
